Had lots of yummy thoughts yesterday and today about cherries. Clafoutis, pie, jam, fresh. Darker than blood. Sweet, dripping slow juices. The tender but firm crunch as you bite in…

Time to go pick some this weekend…

…and so we did. We got 12 pounds of the best damn Bings ever picked – took us all of about an hour of picking and three hours of driving (oh well). We had cherry ice cream that night – really good.

The rest are frozen for incorporating into pastries.
